National Insurance Contribution thresholds are
increasing from 6 July 2022. To accommodate this change, payroll software will need to be updated with the correct thresholds.
Employers who run their own payroll will need to ensure their software has been updated before processing and reporting any payments (If you use Moore's payroll services, our team will do this for you).
It is important that any payments due to be made on or after 6 July 2022 use the correct thresholds. If you run your payroll early, you will need to check your software has been updated before processing payments.
If you are unsure about whether or not your software has been updated, please contact your software provider. If you use
HMRC's Basic PAYE Tools, this will not be updated until 4 July 2022 so you will need to wait until then to run payroll.
