On the 25th November, Moore (South) LLP hosted an Autumn Statement Lunch with John Glen MP at The Chapter House in Salisbury.
Following the formation of Theresa May’s Government, John Glen now holds the position of Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Phillip Hammond, Moore were delighted that John Glen was happy to be part of the Autumn Statement lunch.
The event focussed on an informal gathering approach, the aim was to bring many local businesses together, in order for John Glen to present the highlights of the Autumn Statement, with a focus on how these highlights may affect their business. The questions and answers, proved to be a pivotal point for local businesses to ask as many questions as possible to get a real understanding of how the Autumn Statement announcements may affect business.
John Glen commented “I was delighted be given the opportunity to meet with a group of local business leaders following the Autumn Statement. I found the discussion lively and highly informed – allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of the outstanding challenges and opportunities that businesses are keen for me to help them tackle in Salisbury and South Wiltshire."
