Ceri Hurford-Jones, Chairman, South Wilts Business of the Year Awards 2016, was delighted to announce the winner as M G Cannon.
After Ceri Hurford-Jones and co-presenter Karen Bosley (Station Manager, SpireFM) took to the stage, together with video accompaniment, the judges were introduced to the 700 strong audience. Before the awards and categories were presented, guests enjoyed entertainment from ABC with lead vocals by Martin Fry.
Robert Newman, Chairman, Moore (South) LLP, commented: "This year the finalists were separated by very few points. Each year the standard gets higher and the judges job harder - but that's what we enjoy, seeing businesses grow and improve year on year."
Andrew Coldwell, Group Managing Partner Moore (South) LLP added "We chose MG Cannon as our winner as they have a proven business model based on a sound financial footing. Increased efficiencies have shown an increase in turnover and profit. The directors are continually looking to expand and grow the business and really involve the whole team."
Robert Snook, Managing Director of M G Cannon said " When you hear the list of finalists is full of leaders and businesses that you respect and admire, when you see so many others in the audience and when you see South Wiltshire coming together at such a fabulous event it makes you so proud that you are part of such a vibrant and successful South Wiltshire business community."
