On Friday 22nd April 2016, Moore (South) LLP headed on down to this year's Chichester Observer and Gazette Business Awards, a black tie event that aims to celebrate business excellence across the region. This year the awards ceremony was held in its usual venue, at the Hilton Avisford Park Hotel. In attendance to present the awards was BBC One’s very own Nick Wallis.
Moore (South) LLP was delighted when they found out that earlier this month they had been shortlisted for two of the awards on offer – the first award being Employer of the Year and the second for Training and Development. The awards ceremony is now its eighth year, organised by Johnston Press and it’s certainly not the first time that Moore (South) LLP has entered and attended – a date that is often saved in the diary.
This year Andrew Henshaw, managing partner of Moore (South) LLP's Chichester office and head of human resources, attended the ceremony with Louise Hastings, Chichester partner, to eagerly await the results. Somewhere in a room full of tables for 75 other attending businesses, there was a reserved spot for Moore (South) LLP. Andrew commented, 'Moore is a people-focused business and we constantly strive to create opportunities for people development. We pride ourselves on our relationships, not only with our clients but also with our people. The fact we were shortlisted reflects how hard we work to ensure the best working environment for our teams across our 5 offices in the South.'
On the night, Moore (South) LLP was presented with the Employer of the Year Award in front of 248 attendees. Two other businesses were also shortlisted for this award, but Moore (South) LLP successfully came out on top.
Louise Hastings said of the event, 'We had a great time on Friday at the Chichester Observer and Gazette Business Awards, it was fantastic to be shortlisted for the event and to come home with the Employer of the Year award was the icing on the cake!'
A fantastic achievement by all!
