Additional funding available for East Midlands businesses affected by the coronavirus

April Foster

There is a limited pot of funding available to support SMEs across the South East Midlands to respond to the immediate COVID-19 crisis.

The South East Midlands kickstart grant scheme is being delivered by SEMLEP’s Growth Hub and is funded by the European Regional Development fund.

To qualify, you must be able to demonstrate that the business has been directly affected by COVID-19.

The grant will cover 100% of the proposed project and must be a minimum of £1,000 and maximum of £3,000.  In exceptional cases they may consider awarding grants of up to £5,000.

The grant can be used to cover the purchase of equipment and or specialist advice needed in response to the impacts of COVID 19.  You need to demonstrate how the equipment would help keep the business operational during the pandemic.

You may also be able to use the grant to cover any specialist advice needed as a result of COVID-19 from HR and health and safety professionals, accountants, lawyers and IT consultants

Applications are now being accepted on a first come, first served basis so don’t delay.
