Risks and concerns facing OMBs

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the strength of the UK economy and Brexit impacts are OMBs’ major concerns this year, reflecting current political and market uncertainties.

From a business perspective, the skills gap again features strongly as a concern facing business leaders across all sectors. A positive is that many OMBs plans to invest in new advancements in technology to enhance productivity and reduce the burden of recruitment and staff turnover.

Continuing the theme of technology, the ability to keep pace with the adoption and implementation of new technologies remains a concern for OMBs. Whilst it’s encouraging to note that the majority of OMBs see advancement of technology as an opportunity for their businesses – it’s clear that some OMBs are wary of the impact of robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence might have on their business models.
